A:  Hello Jenny, That would not be possible as it is already grooved at the bottom for the barn door hardware, however, you can speak with your local retailer to order a Melrose door slab unmachined for your desired purpose.

A:  The board should be the same length as the track and a thickness of 3/4" is enough. The pine board is ok - paint it before track installation.

A:  Hello Barb, The sides can be trimmed 1/8" and the bottom can be trimmed 1/4" but there is no trim allowance on the top. Anything beyond this will void warranty and may compromise the integrity of the door.

A:  Hello PeterF, We do offer hollow core Melrose doors, however, this specific model will be solid core. The trim allowance for this door is 1/8" off of the top and bottom so trimming beyond that will void warranty and may expose the core. If it is solid, there is a small gap between the solid core material and the top rail. If it is hollow, there will be no solid core material beyond the top rail.
