A: I used it on A cordless vac . I do not know what eles it fits.
A: yes, the 49.90.1900 will work in the 0780.20
A: No. You need filter part # 49-90-0160.
A: No that requires specific filter this will only fit the 1st gen and 2nd ten m18 wet/dry vac
A: The vacuum is wet/dry. The filter is washable. But you don't run the vacuum with a wet filter.
A: Remove the filter when you what to use it for wet conditions. Because if the filter gets wet it will take a very long time to get dry and then the filter will smell. It is a good idea to keep a second filter for a spare in case you forget to remove it for wet conditions or if your first filter gets dirty.
A: Yes it is a wet filter.
A: Follow the directions in the manual. If you run with a wet filter you risk damaging the vacuum motor.
A: This model is a dry filter.
A: Is it a wet/dry vacuam that ships with the dry filter. They make a different foam filter for wet use. If you'll look closely at the original fitler you'll see at the bottom there is a clear symbol of a water spigot with a slash through it. Meaning of course "No Water".
A: I have a maintenance team of ten and we all own this vacuum. Great vacuum but the filter is NOT to be used sucking up water. Vacuuming with this filter will cause the vacuum to lose all suction power the next time you use it. The filter will be no good after it drys out. We’ve learned by trial and error. And this filter is online order only so it’s not like you can go to your local Home Depot to purchase another one. This vacuum is a great vacuum.
A: Just like any shop vac filter you need to remove it before using it in wet environments. Most wet filters are like a foam sleeve. The vac still work great to clean up wet messes but you will need to remove the filter. But of course you can wash the filter to clean it but just be sure it’s semi dry before using it again. Hope this helps!!
A: Not sure what your seeing here. I bought the shop vac about 9 months ago. And bought some backup filters. Same part number. It stays to read safety label on filter. It’s hard to read, being in same color stamped on bottom of filter, but they are washable. All shop vac filters I’ve ever seen usually are. Just let em dry out for a day or so.
A: This filter is truly only a dry filter. I have a maintenance team of 10 who all have their own Milwaukee vacuum and the condenses is that if the filter gets wet the vacuum will lose its suction power. My vacuum would not operate after the filter was cleaned with water. Otherwise the vacuum works great.
A: Online order only. Yes this is the right filter.
A: in the early "A" series vac's the filter was washable in the revision "B" series we kept the same part number for the filter and is no longer washable.
A: To clean the filter: tip the filter on an angle and tap the edges of it against the inside of a barrel. (If you are outdoors, you can tap it against any rigid surface.) Rotate the filter and continue tapping it until all of the loose dirt has fallen off. Then, using a medium bristled brush, clear the debris from inside the pleats. As a last step, if you have a blower or compressed air line available, blow any remaining dirt/dust from the filter.
A: This filter has a teflon coating which makes it a wet/dry filter so there is no need to remove for wet cleanup even if you have already cleaned up dry messes. gently tap the filter against the side of the garbage can and most of the debris will fall off very easily. if there is stuck materials and it won't come off with tapping it, you can clean it by running water over the outside of it if you do this be very careful not to get the inside of the filter wet, there is no protective coating on the inside and you will have to wait for the filter to completely dry before you can use it again. Another method I use is my other shop vacuum. I put on the brush attachment and gently work along the grooves.
A: I tap mine against the edge of the garbage can. You can also get in there with an old paintbrush. The important thing is you cannot wash it in water.
A: In a garbage can or bag. Tap the filter housing and clean out all the baffles until all debris/visible dust is free from filter. Then reinstall in unit. Do this regularly and the filter should last longer and vacuum will work better/more efficient. If HEPA compliance is a concern do not spray the filter out with compressed air as this may cause small tears/holes in the fabric making the filter no longer compliant.
A: You can rinse out the filter or tap it to clean.
A: For Wet/Dry Vacuum Cat. No. 0880-20
A: no this one is too big... its for the m18 wet/dry vac. If you are looking for the m18 compact vac the air filter model # is 49-90-0160. It took one wrong purchase (wasting money), and a lot of online looking just to find the right air filter mdl# never mind a place to order one... So far (today) 05/28/17 i found the air filter on ebay for about $18 and also only one more site (which seems to look good and very reasonable $12 or so... hope i helped some of you out there. It seems like its not the easiest air filter replacement to find...not even on amazon. One last thing i just checked and it should have been obv before, but if you still have the manual check the parts list and model # for the vac and also the filter you will be looking to replace... I should have started there.......all well good luck to you
