Q:Will several days of heavy rains wash out or dilute the fertilizer if it has been added to flower pots?

A:  Several days of extremely heavy rain might dilute Miracle-Gro Shake 'N Feed All Purpose Plant Food. However, there is no way of knowing if it really has, and if so by how much, so we do not recommend reapplying until the standard amount of time has passed. Over fertilization is always worse than under fertilizing, as it can cause damage to your plants.

      A:  Apply Miracle-Gro Shake 'n Feed All Purpose Plant Food to soil around existing plants or in area when preparing for new plantings. Work into to top 1-3 inches of soil. For mulched areas, ideally rake back the mulch and applied directly to soil; however, it can be applied to the mulch and worked into the mulch layer.
