A:  Hello GrannyB, I would suggest purchasing the complete wall mount unit as shown. The rain shower head offers limited options for use, especially to move it around while cleaning the shower. On the other hand, the shower head shown in the illustration will do the cleaning of the shower stall, plus allow for washing a pet, assisting someone else in the shower, washing one's hair, plus many more. I personally like the water on/off feature on the handle and the numerous settings for water flow with this Moen shower handle with hose.

A:  This is a great brand, wonderful designs, high quality, great price. This particular piece seemed to have failed its purpose. The shower head will sometime slip from hook, other than that works great. Yes, button stops is only a momentary feature, they advice you not to use it for long periods of time.

In 1992, the federal government passed the Energy Policy Act. This law placed strict regulations on flow rates. All manufacturers must adhere to these standards and no adjustments can be made. Our showerheads include a pressure compensating flow regulator that actively delivers the best water flow for the amount of water that is available. A:  It only reduces the flow significantly. It does not turn it off.

A:  Works o.k but water comes out scalding hot for a few seconds when you resume flow. The location of the button also makes it too easy to accidentally press.

A:  If you are referring to the water line coming out of the wall and the flange that covers the wallboard, then no, those do not come with the Moen handheld shower head. The fitting onto the water line is supplied, but not the water line itself.

A:  It is a metal flexible hose with a flexible plastic outer coating. Looks great and is easy to clean.

A:  It's kink-free but it is not metal. the whole hose is plastic - which i believe adds to ease of installation because it is so light-weight and easy to manage.

A:  Yes, the bronze hose appears to be plastic, but that is a plastic sleeve over the kink free metal hose, at least that is the case for the units that I have purchased. The plastic cover will protect the metal from fraying or rusting. In addition, it is much easier to wipe off the plastic surface rather than an exposed metal surface. It is really kink free, and I favor this reinforced type hose for any water transport medium.

A:  The hose exterior is plastic. Do not know about interior. But hose will not bend or lie like a metal hose does and looks terrible compared to the pictures. Home Depot web page incorrectly describes the hose as "kink free metal.".

A:  Yes, the bronze one has an incredibly cheap plastic hose. The entire construction of the bronze one is unbelievably cheap plastic

A:  It is a plastic coating on a metal hose. It definitely doesn't kink and it is quite durable. We have had ours for over a year and it is still like new!

A:  The metal hose is covered with plastic to protect the metal. It truly does not kink. Moen has a great customer service call center. They’are friendly and knowledgeable.
