Q:Will this sink accommodate drilling two more holes to accommodate 8" centered faucet? Because of a cabinet over the sink, I need to use a low arc faucet such as Delta standard kitch single handle faucet SKU 56612. This type all seems to be 8 in centered. Thanks.

Q:How is it fastened to the wall and is the fastening method strong enough to hold it there when it is full of water? Is there a picture showing and describing how it mounts to the wall?

      Answer This Question

A:  Bob, The sink is held on the wall by sliding over a long bracket which is held to the wall with as many screws as you would like though the kit comes with 2-1/4" bolts which are sufficient for most any thing. My bolts are screwed into a 2x4 which I placed between the studs while redoing my laundry room. The kit also comes with drywall anchors but I would not use these. I have placed a full, 5 gallon bucket of water in the sink with no problem. I tried to push down on a dry sink but the plastic squeaks and bends with my weight. I have no idea how badly the sink would deform if it was full of water. If you bought this model with the legs attached, I have no doubt that it would remain in place when full of water. Hope this helps. This is a fine sink and functions perfectly as a laundry room sink. https://mustee.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/07/15W.pdf I was unable to upload document page so here is the web site with the installation instructions. A:  Bob these tubs are fiberglass, as you likely know. You may need to use 2x4's to build a support for it or build a 2x4 base a little larger than the tubs base measurements.

Q:I know the bracket the sink is mounted to needs to be centered on wall studs, but does the sink itself have to be centered on the bracket / studs? Is there some "wiggle room"?

        Answer This Question

A:  I just looked at my sink. The bracket is about 3" shorter so yes, you have 3" 's to play with. In truth, the bracket does not have to be centered, and rarely would your studs line up perfectly for you. The Support is plenty rigid enough to to have the sink hang off one end if need be. If this is old construction, then you would have to live with the studs as they are, unless you break into the wall and place a wooden plate between the studs. Hope this helps. Dirtman

A:  This product is not meant for natural marble, stone, terrazzo, polished or anodized aluminum, metallic or painted surfaces. If in doubt, test the product on a hidden area first and rinse the surface promptly and thoroughly after use.

A:  Back in the old, old days, clothes were washed by hand on a corrugated piece of metal in a wash tub. For those who want to use this tub for washing clothes or fabric, the front interior face of the sink has slight ridges which can be used to help scrub items.

A:  Simply a roughed up area on the front inner surface. Haven't used it yet but could be mildly useful for scrubbing larger items such a cloth tarps.

A:  It's usually on the inside of the front wall of the tub. It looks like ripples that you can scrub 'xyz' against to drive dirt out of cloth or rug like material. I use mine to help clean any dirty rags I used cleaning up etc. etc.

A:  Go to www.mustee.com and look up the 15F/W or 17F/W Utilatub to see a picture of the scrub board

                  by|May 9, 2020

A:  Composite is a general term noting there is a mixture of materials. The sink is some sort of plastic made to resist cracking and staining, It feels like something between polyethylene and PVC.

                    by|Oct 2, 2019

A:  Composite simply denotes multiple components were combined to make the tub flexible yet tough.
