A:  Yes. Connect the GENIUS2 to your battery, select the correct charging mode, and the GENIUS2 will charge and then automatically maintain the battery as long as it is connected to the battery and to A/C power.

    Answer This Question

A:  It’s not a jump starter (although NOCO sells those too). It’s a charger. Will take a couple days to charge battery back to a usable level if it is completely dead: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=EvGaGa-Ccf0

A:  The GENIUS2 is a battery charger that recharges a battery only when plugged into an A/C outlet. It is not a portable jump starter. For this type of product, see NOCO Boost UltraSafe Lithium Jump Starters.

Q:How can I connect red clamp to a prius 2010 jump-start terminal so that the fuse-box cover can be replaced?
          by|Jan 9, 2021
          1 Answer
          Answer This Question

A:  The GENIUS2 is meant to be connected directly to the positive and negative battery posts or terminals. Connecting to remote jump start posts may work depending on the vehicle, but if the charger stays in Standby and cannot properly detect the battery through those terminals, a direct connection to the battery would be required.

Q:What happens to the mode setting if the power goes out & then comes back on? I have a AGM deep-cycle 12V battery and will be using the 12V AGM mode......If there's a power outage, will the charger resume charging in 12V AGM mode or some other "default" mode? If the mode setting was a manual switch, I would not be concerned.....but with a button that cycles through the different modes/settings as it is pressed, I'm not so sure. Thanks!

            Answer This Question

A:  Yes it has memory and will remember the last mode it was in. If the power goes out and it is on AGM, when the power comes back on it will remain on AGM.

            by|Apr 9, 2021

A:  When power returns, the charger will come back on in the last charge mode that was used.
