A: Hello Condo. The actual dimension is 7/8 inch x 13.95 inch.

A: It just an odd length because the ends are cut on an angle to make a perfect corner and also that it lines up perfectly with the tiles so that the edge can abut next to a straight edge finish piece

Q:In the video on this product it shows the guy clicking on beveled end pieces that make a nice transition to the cement that the deck tiles will lay on. Is this what I use for the beveled end pieces in the video?

A: It sounds like you are referring to our deck tile accessories (http://www.newtechwood.com/deck-tile-naturale.html#accessories). These are available as fascia or trim. Fascia are flat edges and the trim are sloped edges. If you are referring to beveled edges, you would therefore want to use the trim seen here: https://www.homedepot.com/p/NewTechWood-1-6-ft-x-1-ft-Quick-Deck-Composite-Deck-Tile-Straight-Trim-in-Icelandic-Smoke-White-4-Pieces-Box-US-QD-SF-ZX-SW/205881164. In fact, upon reviewing the deck tile installation video (https://youtu.be/a1fpinb5fJs), the deck tile trim does appear to be installed.

Q:What is the heat gain on this product? I would like to consider this around a pool in lieu of concrete.

Answer This Question
A: This deck gets pretty hot in the direct sun as does all composite decking. It is also slippery when wet. You will get tremendous expansion and it will probably get too hot to have bare skin touch it.

A: Hi, while I am unable to find the heat gain for this product, the heat buildup value is available here: http://www.newtechwood.com/us/pdf/Decking_Naturale_Solid_Technical_Sheet.pdf. With that said, while the material will get hot, like any composite, your experiences may vary based on your environment. If you would like to request a sample for testing, please do so using the form here: http://www.newtechwood.com/us/contact.html. If you would like the specific heat gain value, please reach out via the contact page and I can direct your question to our manufacturing team.

A: While this may be possible, we would strongly recommend following best practices, which would encourage this being installed over a more stable surface such as a concrete deck or an existing wood deck.

Answer This Question
A: This is for our deck tiles not for actual deck boards. We have boards that are made to finish the ends of decks.
