Q:I live in the desert where temps in the sun can reach 140F! And a 30-40F swing in temperature throughout the day is not uncommon. How much spacing should I put between these boards to avoid warping? And do screw/bolt holes need to be larger and lose?

It also depends on when you are installing it. See if you were to install it now around lets say 70 degrees and you are using our 16 ft long board you would be leaving about 1/8 of an inch.
The boards have a terminal length of growing, it can't grow for ever. There are diminishing amounts it will grow in relation to the temp.
