    Answer This Question

A:  The one described above is a 1pc "sleeve" that slides over an existing post. We also have a 2PC Post Cover that "wraps" existing post when a Sleeve cannot be used.

      Answer This Question

A:  They feel like hard styrofoam. They will hold up to weather but not any type of abuse. I've had them installed for over two years and still look good. One thing to mention... they are thinner than I would have liked. A good value for a nice look.

A:  No these do not feel like paper at all. They are solid composite polyurethane and the molds are made from real stone so they are extremely textured.

A:  No, these post sleeves don't feel like papier mache.

Q:i want to use them as interior decor. Are they stack-able without interior post to get an 8ft column?, they would be flushed against a wall.

          Answer This Question

A:  While it is conceivable, it seems that you will want a post on the interior in order to hold it sturdy. The post cover is hollow inside and it would easily move without something holding it in place.

A:  I wouldn’t stack or install without post . It’s made out of a hard foam . Perfect for a deck or a mailbox . I wouldn’t stack either not sure if it would be seamless .

A:  Yes these are stackable and also can be cut to reach any desired height!

Q:I am wanting to cover the bottom portion of 8 foot posts on a porch, leaving the wood exposed on the top, and stone on the bottom. Is this product open top and bottom, and is there a cap that is an open square in the middle to place on top of the stone for such an application?

                Answer This Question

A:  These post covers are open at the top and bottom. The Slatestone Post Cover caps are what is used the cap off the opening at the top. They have to be cut diagonally, then the opening for the wood post needs to be jigged out. There is a video on the manufacturers website showing how to do this.

A:  no they will only fit a 4x4 post. The inside is too small for a 6x6 post, I busted mine trying to make it fit. Very disappointed in product!
