Q:When would I choose Base 2 over Base 1? I believe Base 2 is supposed to be for darker colors, but I'm not sure what the "transition" point would be for mid-range colors, say a medium brown type hue. thanks, George

A: Hey George, You are correct, Base 1 is for lighter colors, Base 2 is for medium hues. If you are looking for a medium brown stain, we would advise going with Base 2.
