A:  Peggy, the rock is made of a strong and durable fiberglass composite. Its curvilinear shape makes it wind-resistant, and the weight of this rock will keep it secure in its place even during high winds.

Q:Will this rock fit over a 5? x 5? x 7? tall electric box? If not do have a product that would work to cover what I have?

        Answer This Question

A:  Danny, This landscape rock should fit over the electrical box, given the measurements. These rocks are designed to have a realistic appearance and irregular shape. The inside dimensions can vary between 1/16"-1/4" in thickness, so please keep that in mind.

A:  Alita, Unfortunately, this hollow rock does not have a bottom.

          by|Aug 31, 2022

A:  The bottom of the rock pops out so that you can hide the key inside of it. If you mounted the rock on a surface you would have to fix the piece that pops out onto the surface and then life the rock off of it to access the key inside. I don't see why that wouldn't work.

            by|Sep 1, 2022

A:  No, the rock does not have a bottom to it. It's designed to fit over something on the ground.

A:  Unfortunately, it is open since it's meant to hide things under it.

                by|Sep 1, 2022

A:  No. It’s hollow with an open bottom & would primarily be used to cover outdoor plumbing (such as sprinkler valves).

A:  Jenny, According to our safety data sheets it doesnt seem there's anything that would be harmful for fish.

A:  My opinion is too big for fish tank, maybe nice for pond and safe means, for leakage of chemical? I am not sure but strong enough, won't melt or break in water because I had it out in garden over winter, still looks good but I don't know about if it leaks chemical from plastic and safe for fish.

A:  No idea. It's not heavy nor solid so I would think it would float up.

A:  These are hollow plastic made for covering pipes. I doubt they would stay submerged in a tank.

A:  I have no idea. I used mine (because it is hollow inside) to cover a bit of pvc pipe leading to a float in my outdoor pond. I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the product to get the appropriate answer to your question. Good luck!

                            Answer This Question

                            A:  It's a plastic material so cutting a hole shouldn't be a problem.

                            by|Mar 10, 2022

A:  Yes, the construction is a fiber material, I would suggest cutting it from the outside in to make sure that the outside edges are smooth and that they do not fracture from the cutting tool breaking through the exterior finish. I would tape around the area to be cut and make sure that my cutting tool was very sharp and start the cut very slowly to again, make sure that the exterior surface is cut cleanly without any pulling from the fiber in the body of the stone. Be ready to paint the inside radius of the cutout as it will show the color of the fiber once it is cut.

A:  Probably. A knife wont do it, a small saw should work just fine..

                                by|Mar 10, 2022

A:  I would say yes, although i have not tried this. you will probably need a saw of some sorts as it is kinda thick walled.

                                  by|Mar 10, 2022

A:  I don't see why not. The rock is made out of fiberglass or some other hard plastic material. A hole saw should be able to cut through it.

A:  Debe, Our rocks can be easily drilled for wires or hoses using masonry drill bits, but unfortunately we do not have instructions for cutting a hole in the rock.
