A: Sort of. a plastic liner is provided, but very flimsy, and doesn't go up the side of the box, so the wood is exposed to the dirt and water. The liner actually acts as the bottom of the box. This is a real "bargain basement" item, you get what you pay for. The wood does not appear to be treated, or naturally water resistant, seems like pine. Untreated, it will rot quickly. If assembled properly it is reasonably sturdy, but it takes some woodworking knowledge to get it together - my inlaws tried, and it was a wobbly mess until I fixed it. I added some heavy duty plastic sheet to protect the sides, and used Thompson's water seal to protect the wood. I expect it to last a few years, but then, that is all I expected.

A: Mine did not, however I made my own using landscape fabric doubled, I also used small stones before adding the fabric, I treated with the same method I use in container plantings,

A: there is no liner, but you can easily poke holes thru the bottom for drainage.
