A:  We've designed POLYWOOD furniture to remain outdoors in all climates, but on hot days in direct sunlight, darker lumber colors readily absorb heat. On hot sunny days, we recommend testing furniture temperature with the back of your hand to make sure it's safe to sit on. We also suggest moving furniture to a shady area or covering it with a suitable outdoor furniture cover.

A:  Thank you for your question! While it is designed to be aesthetically pleasing, the small curved piece under the seat is a functional part of the seat support and is required. Thanks, Lana

A:  I hooked mine to my pier with stainless steel L brackets and screws. Keeps them from getting blown away or legs getting in between the cracks on the pier.

A:  Hello Kathy, The warranty will remain valid if a bench has been properly anchored to the ground. Suggested anchor materials include stainless steel hardware with a stainless or aluminum bracket, painted or unpainted material. It’s best to utilize an appropriate pilot hole when screwing into the POLYWOOD material. -Thank you for asking, Michelle
