A: The PowerMaster Pro can fire any 30° Paper Tape Framing Nails, either clipped or full round head. Paslode Framing Nails are designed with a Full Head, that is fully offset, without a heel. This allows a tighter pack on our strips and more nails in the magazine at a time, which in turn means more time working and less time reloading. If you need more information, feel free to contact Customer Support at 877-489-2726 from 8:00-4:30 CT Monday - Friday.
A: The PowerMaster Pro has what is called a dry fire lock out based on the number of nails that are in the magazine. At a certain point it will not allow the tool to fire in order to prevent damage to the tool from firing blank shots. If you have further questions, feel free to call Customer Supoort at 877-489-2726 from 8:00-4:30 CT Monday-Friday.
A: It cannot be fired when empty.
A: The PowerMaster Pro does not currently come with a carrying case or bag.
A: No it does not.
A: No case. Just a box
A: Yes! The kit includes hard-grey plastic case, oil, wrench, plug and helpful booklet. They also throw in a few nails to test it out.
A: I just bought this nail gun and ALL parts were provided in the box. Surprised me because they are not usually provided
A: the manual says it requires 3/8 in NPT fitting
A: I recently purchased the Paslode PowerMaster Pro 30- Degree Framing Nailer and everything came to make-ready out of box (i.e. instructions, proper male fitting-rubber cap, safety glasses, 2 racks of 3-1/4 inch nails, and warranty info papers). I wish they would have included a small bottle of pneumatic oil since requires daily oil drops if don’t have an in-line oil injector on compressor (mine doesn’t).
A: The male fitting is 1/4". On all the models I've seen, it is provided, preassembled and attached to the tool. You can check photos here on HD's website, or on the Paslode website to verify. Also, specs and the manual clearly state 1/4" connection. You can find the manual online for free. If by chance you received a tool without the 1/4" fitting, HD is always very good about swapping out for a perfect model. I have only had to return items three times in the two decades or more I've been an HD customer. I've never had a problem with any return or exchange. If by chance you confused male and female fittings, I can explain why you did not receive the female fitting with the tool. That's because the female portion is always attached to the air hose, so it is not part of the tool itself. Manufacturers assume, logically, that if you intend to use a pneumatic tool, you must already have a compressor, hose and air supply fittings. Hope that helps!
A: mine came with the fitting.
A: It sounds like a male air fitting may be included in some markets and others not. Part of the problem here is that there are several types of pneumatic fittings used in different industries, so it probably makes more sense to NOT provide it and let the customer buy the correct fitting for his/her compressor and hoses.
A: Did you read specific on the packaging? You can always ask a Dept. manager in the tool dept, to answer any and all your questions, I have found if someone doesn't know the answer to a question, they will find someone who does.
A: My manual, like the website, agrees with manufacturer specs; so I would trust that. Home depot generally does a good job of posting specs, but (probably) due to the immense volume of products they carry, occasionally a mistake can be made in copying those specs. I suspect this typo is one of those cases. Also, I have personally used this with 3.25 nails no problem, but I have not used longer. Hope that helps!
A: The problem here, even if this nailer can accept 3 1/2" nails, is that Paslode does not appear to sell these, and I can't find another supplier. The longest nail Paslode supplies is 3 1/4" which is the max for most other Paslode framers. I also believe you need to have clipped head nails, so 30 degree, paper collated, clipped head nails. If you need to use full 3 1/2" nails, I'd suggest getting a different brand with greater options for nail sizes.
