Q:When we turn on the faucet, the shower head begins to leak water before pulling the valve on the spout. What do I need to do to fix this?

A:  Milty, Thank you for your question. Based on your description of the flow from the tub/shower, you are experiencing an issue known as shower rise. This is an installation issue, which has several possible causes. Please make sure that: 1. The valve body is right side up. 2. The pipe for the tub spout drop is only 1/2" copper or iron pipe. 3. The tub spout is 8” - 18" from the valve body. 4. No drop-ear elbows or push-to-connect fittings are used. Only one 90 standard degree copper or iron elbow should be used. 5. There is no blockage in the pipe (such as excess solder) or tub spout. If you have any further questions, please feel free to call us at 1-800-345-3358 or email customerservice@deltafaucet.com. We’d be happy to help! Best regards, Jon

Q:We just finished our basement and had the contractor install this tub/shower faucet. Now just using it for the first time the handle only moves about 90 degrees from off to fully on and the hottest water coming out is only luke warm. How do we go about changing the setting to allow hotter water to come out? Is it something we can change now after it's completely installed?
