A:  The pop up drain is plastic with the option of locking it into the plunger rod or free to be removed. I found the lever arm very difficult to set as it passes through the supply lines. I finally zip tied the supply lines in order to allow the lever free movement.

A:  The pop-up itself is plastic, as almost all are (the brushed nickel cap is metal). The tailpiece is metal (in the photo below, it is the part above the grey plastic tailpiece extender that was purchased separately and required for my install)
