Q:What type of clay pot and saucer will not disintergreat in weather outdoors
by|Oct 21, 2022
1 Answer
Answer This Question
A: Hello, Terracotta or clay pots cannot be stored outdoors. Since they are porous and retain some moisture, they are prone to cracking because the moisture in them will freeze and expand several times over the course of the winter. Metal, wood, fiberglass, resin and some plastic can stay outside through the winter. Colored pots can fade or become brittle due to sunlight. Thank you.
