Q:I have a smaller fireplace. 36" wide and 27" in height. Does this come in a smaller size that would fit my opening? If not, what is an alternative?

Answer This Question
A: The detailed specs of each of the sizes available will tell you the fireplace "opening size " range that each of their products will fit . I could have used the medium size but opted for the large size because I wanted to match the fireplace opening size as closely as possible to the window width on the insert .
In case your interested , this product is very well made , looks great and is well thought out . The glass doors fold out of the way ,and the mesh inner doors work great and are a nice fit . I particularly like the magnetic closure .

Q:what is the measurement from the bottom of the frame to the bottom of the glass door? I have a small lip in the existing opening and if the bottom panel isn't tall enough, the doors will hit the lip and not open. thank you

Answer This Question
A: The measurement is approximately 3" from the bottom of the frame to the bottom of the glass door.
by|Dec 3, 2019
A: I'd say that mine is about 2.25 inches.
There is a bit of a gap between the top edge of that horizontal bottom piece and the bottom of the doors so if you are worried about the doors hitting something, you also have a few 16ths more room than I mentioned.

A: This will be the 3rd winter I've had it and it seems to be holding up well. As long as you don't hit it with anything, the finish is as good as the day I installed it. You can clean it with regular household cleaner. I use a bucket of water with Mr Clean.

A: It has a nice powder coated finish. It should hold up fairly well but it is not indestrucable and will scratch if you hit it with metal objects.

Q:I just had EMBERGLOW gas logs installed. I have sliding doors that only open halfway on the 34"w X 30"h fireplace. The oxygen sensor keeps shutting the fire temporarily to the pilot light, then it comes back on after some time. I figure I need to increase the airflow in the firebox with bifold doors that will increase the open airspace. The specs above state that the medium doors will fit my size firebox (not the large).
#1 Will this work well enough to reduce/eliminate the oxygen sensor cutoff issue?
#2 Do the screens slide open far enough for me to reach the gas log controls (that are low on the side of the logs & the ignitor is low on the other side)?
#3 Does this set come in a Bronze color ( I want it to match the dark brown wood trim color in the room).

Answer This Question
A: If the issue truly is your glass doors cutting off airflow into the firebox then this unit will allow unobstructed airflow into the unit. This unit does not come in a different color. The doors open completely for full access to the firebox. -GHP Group Customer Support

A: Good Afternoon, I've recently purchased a few versions of this for my house, maybe I can help with your questions. The glass doors open the entire width of the fireplace and lat flush against the wall past the trim of the fireplace, as if they are not there. Once the glass doors (either side or both) are open the screens are hinged on the outside trim and can open past 90 degrees giving plenty of access to controls. This set doesn't come in bronze but a similar set on HD website does. Hope this helps.
