A: Hello Sir,
No problem to be used with a 8 feet high deck, this product isn't meant to avoid lateral movement. anything else, please let us know. Thanks

A: I don’t think so. This product is effectively a post with an adjustable height. I believe 8’ is out of its adjustable height range.

Q:Can I screw its base to a concrete base that is buried 3” under the ground? That is, its base will be 3” under the ground covered with soil. Its top will still be 2” above ground so the beam won’t touch the ground. Will it endure the corrosion of the soil and rain?
Thanks,
