A:  Hello Sir, Can be used with PVC but not composite as composite need support every 12"/16". We do recommend a maximum span of 6ft to avoid the boards to warp too much. Each bracket can support around 10 lbs each. Anything else, please let us know. Thanks

A:  Hello Sir, One kit will cover a opening of 49" height x 72" wide. The reason why we do not recommend to exceed 72" isn't for the product but for the boards itself that might warp over time. I will recommend to make 2 x 4' section. As one kit cover 49" high, you will need a total of 4 kits to cover the total 8' x 8' opening. A:  You could use one 8 foot board. But I think the two 4 foot boards would be be better for two reasons. 1. Finding straight boards without knots is a challenge. You can get longer boards and cut out the imperfections. 2. This is just my opinion but I think the structure would be stronger and last longer with the 4 foot boards. Less chance of the boards warping when they are shorter.

A:  Each square section requires measuring each piece for accuracy for the shutters. Mine is 12’ by 9’. Depending upon which way you orient the shutter determines the measurement. An 8 x 8 would make them all approximately the same size but less than 4’ due to the outer framing. I would check the pricing difference before buying 4 ‘ pieces as they will all have to cut.

A:  Hello, The boards/slats are not included as you need to use your own boards ( we recommand to use 5/4" x 6"). These are sunblinds but won't keep the water out. Anything else, please let us know, Thankd
