    Q:We are building a pergola to cover a 18' x 24' space. Would 4 9x12 panels do for this?

    Answer This Question

A:  Hello, The maximum we recommend to be 100% functionnal is 49" x 72" per panels, some customer went to 72" x 72" panels. The problem isn't our bracket but the boards itself that will warp overtime and be hard to move around. For you 18' x 24' space we do recommend to use 16 x 49" x 72" panels. Anything else, please let us know by email or over the phone : info@pylex.com / 800-264-1881. Thanks

          Don’t be deceived!
This item clearly says that it includes 44 shutters in the product details. This is not true - there are 88 shutter hinges to accommodate 44 shutters, but you must purchase your own wood. If you use treated siding wood, you can expect to spend another $350.

            Great inexpensive pergola option
The pergola system works very well for our deck space. They are a bit difficult to turn right now, but might get easier over time. Love the look! One thing to note: louvers only cover 9 feet in the direction of the attached system, so you'll need two kits to cover more than 9 feet in length.

The product is Ok, but the instructions are poor, you are left to guess. They will be well advised to look into the manual. I could go on and on but it’s not my place to get into quality control, but they should.

Love this. So versatile for having best of both worlds…shade in summer and sun in the winter. Mechanics/hardware work smoothly to transition from open to close. Instructions say to mount hooks on outside parameter but we installed inside so wouldn’t have to walk to outside for all quadrants. Instead they are all centralized for easier operation.
