    A:  Hi Lilly, yes any purifier with a UVC bulb; capable of destroying viruses, will produce ozone, albeit some more than others. I have found quiet pure to produce only trace amounts, you probably will not be able to detect it under normal usage. I checked my owners manual and it did disclose that the unit was known to produce ozone. It's timer function of 5 hours on, allows you to run it at max when you leave the area for the day, and you can run it on low at night when you are home. Hope this answers your question.

      A:  every three months. Just change the filter.

        A:  Read the instructions before use because you have to unscrew the bottom and take the plastic off the filter, reinsert it and screw the bottom back on before you use the purifier for the first time.
