When you go to remove or install a belt, you will need to hold the belt tensioner to the side. If the belt is slipping, you can refer to the belt tensioner adjustment section of the manual or call Tech Support for further help. Tech Support: 800.519.3456

A: Hello,
The longest 1/2" cable we manufacture for the K400 is 75'. Anything longer would exceed the drum capacity.

Q:Considering the purchase of your model K-400 AF w/C-45 IW. I'll be using unit more often on 3" drains but occasionally will need to clean 1 1/2" drains. I really need a unit that lets me achieve both goals. I'd be using the 1/2" cable in 1 1/2" pipe.

A: It should work well for your needs, especially if you buy the Ridgid Auto Feed assembly, it can work wonders. Only thing i would note on this, is regardless of your drain size, it is only a 3/8" cable, and and starts to struggle on to maintain a straight push after about 50-60ft, on larger pipe. Though i do no think that would be too affected on only a 3"

A: Hello,
The model you are considering will cover everything up to 4" and because you will mainly clear 3" lines, this is an appropriate choice.
Keep in mind that you can always downsize to a 3/8" if needed in the future.
Please refer to the below specifications for K400 line size and reach.
3/8" Cable is suitable for 1 1/2" – 3" drains and the K400 drum capacity is 100'.
1/2" Cable is suitable for 3" – 4" drains and drum capacity is 75'.
