A:  I haven’t weighed it, but I guess it’s 15 lbs. It’s Well balanced with the tubular handle. I’m 83 and have no problems with it. 

A:  Per Home Depot site the weight of the tool only is 6.26 lb, then add battery weight to it.

A:  For safety purposes, I store all of my Ryobi chargers and batteries in a small canvas tool bag separate from the tools. It's worth the peace of mind knowing when my granddaughter (8) is visiting and out exploring our ranch, she's not going to accidentally make Grandpa obsolete by firing up the trimmer and doing the job I was supposed to do two weeks ago.

A:  I do but, the reason may include the ability to hang it on the wall because of the slot that is provided on the tool, if the battery has been removed. Another reason I remove the battery is to place it on the charger to keep it charged, maintained and ready for the next use with any number of Ryobi 18.5 volt tools that are avaible. A:  I would say it doesn’t matter, I leave the battery in my drills all the time, however you may want to take it out and charge the battery so you have a fully charged battery for your next use.

A:  I have not had that issue. 

A:  I've used mine a couple of times since I got it last year. It's been working fine with me so far. As a matter of fact, I found the rotating handle feature quite helpful. It's a big step up from my previous corded one with fixed handles. I encourage you to use it every time.. and you'll find it a nifty feature. I turn it left or right, at 15-90 degree angles and it works like a breeze.. Good luck

A:  Not at all. I haven't had any issues with mine. The rotating handle actually helps. Instead of me having to twist my hand in an awkward position to keep a firm grip, I simply rotate the handle to the desired position.

A:  Not in my case. I am very happy with mine. Maybe exchange for another just in case you got a bad one. 

A:  We've had ours for 2 years now, and it works fine. Rotating handle locks firmly in place. May be defective.

A:  It is very light.  Great tool.  I am done trimming before I could get previous trimmers started (gas) or cord plugged in.
