        A:  Thank you for your question. Independent test results show that RAYOVAC® HIGH ENERGY™ size D batteries last as long as Duracell Coppertop and Energizer Max size D batteries on average ANSI performance tests.

                  A:  I use D batteries for those "Luminara" candles and I did a double-test using these and Energizers -- these lasted longer!

                          A:  NO! And many alkaline batteries will explode if you try to recharge them, so don't try. If you want rechargeable, there are plenty of rechargeable NiMH batteries out there, but use the right charger for them.
