A: Shade is made entirely of paper so it is not rigid at all. The sticky tape at the top holds the shade up, but only temporarily. It is not meant to be a permanent shade.
by|May 4, 2023
A: It has a full length of sticky tape on the top...
Since we are redoing our window trim and will use them for some time, we added a strip of cardboard (cut from the box) and stapled them on.

A: This product has a full width support at the top that the shade is attached to.

Q:I recently ordered similar blinds that said they were 72" long. My window is 71.5" long. When I received them I realized it was 72" stretched out like a flat piece of paper, which when in the accordion shape of blinds obviously didn't work. Anyone know how long these would need to be to fit my windows?
Thanks.

A: Hi Jean,
While these are online only shades, these are very similar to our instock shades that can be cut and altered.
With that said, I would recommend to only purchase paper shades that can be altered by cutting them, including the headrail.
I don't believe these you are asking about can be cut to fit your specific width, but our in-stock ones can be.

Q:I need to buy this product, but since I am outside the US and my credit card is from abroad, your system does not allow me to buy it online and have it delivered to a US address.
I face another problem: if I go to the US, it seems this product is not sold in stores.
I need to pick this up in a store in the area of Houston, TX.
Could you please help me to sort this out?
Thanks and regards.

Q:I will be using two of them to temporarily cover the glass panels of sliding glass patio doors. I will need to go in and out the door, and so raise and lower the shades. I plan to adhere the shades to the wall above the door.

A: No. They have clips to keep them down or up. You won't be disappointed. There was one with a pulley, but with small children I didn't feel safe. When up lighting is soft and comforting.
by|May 3, 2023
A: You have to raise and lower manually by removing and replacing the clips.

A: Hello Cathy,
Thank you for your question.
Redi Shade Paper White Light Filtering Window Shades are easy to install and remove. Since adhesive is sticky, sometimes residue can occur. Upon removal of your shade if there is a sticky residue try rolling off the residue using your fingers. If this technique does not work, apply rubbing alcohol to residue and let sit for 10 minutes. Next, with a putty knife or spatula, remove residue gently to avoid damage to your window or frame. (Note: Plain white towels are recommended, when applying any liquid to your window frame, due to the transferring of ink that may occur from using printed towels.)
The use of tape on freshly painted surfaces is not recommended. If in doubt, test before using.
