A:  Thank you for reaching out, Ivan. Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint can be applied to surfaces that will not exceed 200° F. Exposing to temperatures above 200° F will cause the finish to blister and peel. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14

    A:  Thank you for reaching out. While Rust-Oleum Universal Spray Paint and Primer in One can be used, the more the areas are exposed to water, the more likely the coating is to blister and peel. We also recommend avoiding harsh cleaning methods, as these can damage the finish as well. Because of this, we do not recommend applying Universal Spray Paint to faucets or other metal bathroom surfaces. -Rust-Oleum Product Support 14

For outdoor fabrics, consider use of the Rust-Oleum Outdoor Fabric Spray Paint. If needing to treat rust on the surface, we recommend removing any loose or flaking paint and rust, sand around the paint edges, clean the surface and coat the entire surface. Rust can happen after painting if the paint chips or moisture gets under the coating.
