A:  Hi Sandy, it is natural for all rugs to have a "new rug odor." This can be easily solved by dropping a little bit of baking soda and vacuuming (with a brush-less beater). We also advise leaving the rug to air out. The odor should disappear after a few weeks. Thanks for choosing The Home Depot.
