A:  Hello, The good news is copper is a living finish and it will always come back to his natural finish. We recommend using a dish scouring pad and apply it gently on the spots. It will remove them and you should see some shiny copper, then wash the sink with some mild soapy water and let it air dry. About a week or two you should see the copper darken up and blend with the rest of the sink. After that you can use the copper armor once or twice a month to keep the sink shiny and beautiful. A:  Personally I wouldn’t. My sink instructions said to only use this product.

A:  This product cleans copper without removing the patina. Bar Keepers Friend removes the patina and restores copper to original "new" copper look. If that is the effect you desire than Copper CareIQ is not the product you need.

A:  First of all, if you want your sink to look like a bright, shiny new copper penny, you don't want a copper sink. I installed a pair of these Sinkology beaten copper sinks in my master bathroom. They have a rich patina to them that uniquely mellows each over time, based on what comes into contact with them. Even toothpaste and spatters from soft soap dispensers will leave trails in the finish. Although I have never used Bar Keepers Friend, one of its primary ingredients of is Oxalic acid. Oxalic acid is a relatively strong acid, and from the description, Bar Keepers Friend sounds like it would be an excellent scouring product for removing baked-on soil, tea stains and other pot stains, rust, hard water stains, etc. from copper cookware. They recommend wearing gloves. Basic rule of thumb for these beautiful copper sinks is: Never put any of these caustic products in contact with them, or you will destroy the patina. I purchased this Copper CareIQ Kit. I initially coated the sink with the Copper Armor and rubbed it with the Microfiber Cloth (which I never wash). I find what works best is to rinse the sink after brushing your teeth, or washing your hands, rubbing the surface gently with your hand. I keep the Microfiber Cloth close by, and just wipe the surface after each use of the sink, and maybe once a month give it an addition mist and rub with the Copper Armor . I never use harsh chemicals or cleaning products containing bleach or any kind of scouring agent. Copper armor spray wax is made with Brazilian carnauba wax, and thus any carnauba wax product should perform the same protection.

A:  Hello, I have purchased this product twice. It works great. It basically waterproofs the copper for a few days. The length of time will depend on how much you use your sink. I have tried other copper cleaners that are very messy and are hard to apply. This is easy and gives a good result fast. I would recommend.

A:  We don't recommend any permanent clear coat on copper. We have found that when the clear coat chips or cracks those areas will change color as the sink patinas, but the rest of the sink stays the same and it looks ugly.

A:  Sorry, I'm just now seeing your question, but I would not do this, the changing of color is a natural process for copper that I myself had to get used to. This product will shine your copper and make it waterproof for a time and then you will need to reapply.
