Q:My tile is 3/8" thick is 1/2" the correct size to use to account for thin set? Can I cut to make corners?

A:  The Schluter Profiles that are 1/2" works up to a 1/2" (12.5mm) thick tile. For selecting profile heights, we suggest using the same height as the tile if available. If the tile is a large format tile (12"x12" or larger) we suggest going to the next size up to accommodate for the additional thin set for setting. Yes, you can miter cut to create corners.

          Q:My white Schluter Jolly Aluminum 1/2 inch trim ordered on-line from Home Depot arrived with 2 bends in the same places in both pieces. One bend is front to back, the other side to side. Can these be straightened or should they be returned?
