A:  Thank you for your question - these lights do not have a dimmer function. there are other Sensor Brite Lights like the SB Undercabinet lights that can be universally used and have the dimmer function.

A:  Lumen output is between 100 to 175 depending on the setting used and color of light used

A:  The front part just slides off so you can easily change the batteries after you attach it.

A:  Each unit requires 3 x AAA batteries

A:  It cannot- the glass blocks the infrared sensor to pick up motion

A:  I suppose they could but the adhesive is on the back. If you wanted them inside the window you would need to attach them some other way. You might be better off getting some that are made for outdoors.

A:  In the closet is perfect bcuz when the door is open day or nite it will come on bcuz it is activated by movement.

A:  I have mine in cupboards and they do come on the daytime. They only cost $10 for two. I'd suggest you try them

A:  Total darkness is not required. The room must be dark enough that you really need some light." I put three of them on the baseboard at the edge of a staircase. A big safety "plus." A word of caution: this useful device uses battery power even when the light is "off" because the darkness-sensing circuitry is always "on."

A:  I don't know why they couldn't. I would howe9use lithium batteries because of the cool environment.
