      A:  Hello Charlie, my name is Colin with Simpson Strong-Tie. Our HUCQ412-SDS Zmax should have come with a poly bag of 20 each 1/4"x2-1/2" SDS screws (SDS25212). If it was lost in transit of if we shipped the hanger out without the bag regardless, please reach out to our Customer Service team by calling 800-999-5099, explain your situation, that you contacted me, and we will make it right.

        Q:Would I be sacrificing too much if I can't use the 2 very far left connector holes on the face? The wood I'm going into was cut at a slight angle and these I wouldn't be able to screw/nail into these 2 holes.

        A:  ​Hi RinSF, this is Ricardo with Simpson Strong-Tie. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend a connection with missing fasteners. If any fasteners are missing per our specs it would void any posted load values or warranty on the connector. The designer of record can make modifications to the connection but assume full responsibility and would need to justify installation. HUCQ is available in both standard G90 galvanize (HUCQ610) and Zmax (HUCQ610Z). You simply have to specify which one you need when ordering, but load values are the same for both.             A:  The basic difference is the HUC410 installs with common nails and the HUCQ410 installs with Strong-Drive® SDS Heavy-Duty Connector screws (supplied with the hanger) for high capacity and ease of installation.
