A: Hello Bobby!
Thank you for your recent inquiry with The Home Depot. We are showing the 500 ft. 1-1-1-3 Gray Stranded AL SER Cable is currently only available in the 500 ft. option. There is an option for 1 ft that is currently unavailable. We would suggest signing up for the email alerts under the 1 ft option to know when that will be available again.
We appreciate your business and look forward to serving you in the future.

Answer This Question
A: Your question doesn't state whether you wish to use metallic or non-metallic but SER (service entrance round) can be used both indoors and outdoors (sunlight resistant) but not direct burial (underground). However, all four conductors (3 no. 1 and 1 no.3 bare awg) are both aluminum and 7 strand making the bending radius fairly large, I would estimate about 8 to 9 inches. This cable is stiff to bend and you would need a minimum diameter of 1-1/4" raceway. I would not recommend putting any additional conductors in the raceway (flex) in addition to this cable unless you needed an additional no. 6 awg bonding wire for metallic continuity.

Q:I am confused by the spec sheet where it has different amp ratings for different temperatures. How do I know if I am getting the right cable for the load I need if I don’t know the temperature rating for the cable? Am I understanding this correctly?
