    Q:Sometimes my display shows LL.L, however it does return to temperature display if I fiddle with the probe. Does that mean it?s not long for the bin? I bought it about 5 years ago.

      A:  I do not think so. Yeast (I assume you mean dough) temperature is typically at 24 degrees Celsius, at least for pizza, but this product lists its lower temp at 50 degree

        Q:Will this work for testing a crab cake? I'm looking for a thermometer to check internal temp before serving them. Seems every one I find says meat or chicken. Thanks

        A:  Should work if cake thickness is enough to surround sensor tip. My guess - about an inch.

                A:  The included instructions say not to immerse the body in water. I wouldn't put it in the dishwaher.
