A: I could scoop so much snow I could barely lift the shovel, and pry into a frozen over snow drift, and the handle had no flexure in it. No need to worry about the handle.

A: We had a recent snow/ice event and I'll tell you, the shovel can hold at least 15 to 20 lbs. of load without any issues. That was my experience.
