Q:can you install these doors?

Answer This Question
A: Yes you can. Your initial step is to make an additional "exterior" frame around your existing door. It would be like an outside border of your existing door. In the same location where the doors are at Home Depot there should be the screws and the special screw driver (it fits in any drill). I'll attach the photo of mine so you can see. I don't have step by step shots though.
Hope this helps

A: This door is a special order to begin with. I would suggest meeting with the window/door rep at Home Depot and check to see if you could order it from the factory at the 32" width. You may be able to get the width you need by doing so. Hope this helps.

A: The screen is svailable at an extra cost. You get one or the other, glass or screen. I opted for the screen. Its a great door. I love it on my house.

A: There are three screens. Two large and one small in the middle. To change to glass you would have to have three framed glass panels of the exact same size. Which would probably not be cheap. I installed mine in Arizona and you would never want glass as it traps the heat. If you live in a cold climate you would be better off getting a door that comes with glass panels

A: not sure screens are framed and you mount them to back side of door with self taping screws hope this helps
by|Apr 17, 2019
A: Thank you for your interest in our Pima Security door. At the point of purchase, the Pima has the option for a glass or screen insert. Additional insert types can be purchased however switching the inserts is not a simple task. The door is not designed to be easily interchangeable though it is possible to switch between the two. I hope this information is helpful for you.

A: Thank you for your interest in our Pima security door. please refer to the 'How to Measure' documents and installation guides in the Info & Guides section of homedepot.com. You can also visit our "helpmeinstallit.com" website. I hope this is helpful for you.

A: The door is installed on the outside of your existing frame. You would just need to ensure you have enough room for the door itself and that there are studs in the wall where you would hang the door. I doubt that this would fit properly.

Answer This Question
A: Thank you for your interest in our Pima Security Door. The Pima has the option for insect screen which is a polyester fine mesh fabric or the perforated metal screen which is a sheet of metal with circular holes punched throughout. The perforated metal screen would be much more heavy duty. I hope this information is helpful for you.

A: If you can find it with alum. perforated do it. They don't make the replacement perforated guards replacements for the screens anymore so if you buy the screen door, your stuck with it. If you want it to be a security door, perforated is the way to go. Hope that helps.
