A: Yes you can. I don’t recall if the insert left a mark or not. I actually cut mine down shorter

A: The bolt end I believe you can but I used it so I’m not sure. I think it’s just screwed into the wood

A: Hi, I bought 6 of 7.5 inch legs for a tv stand of about 69 lbs weight; it’s holding pretty well for almost 2 years already. Hope it helps!

A: I've used these legs many times and know they can take a pretty heavy load, provided they are screwed into the mounting flange in the 90 degree vertical position. If you use them in the slanted position they won't be as strong.

A: Yes I bought this in January. I thought it was going to be easier to install, but I was wrong. I got the brackets for my legs (that fit separately). Well when I went to screw them in and tighten the, the threaded bolt must up threaded up into the bracket causing the legs to be shorter then one another and on top of it they were flimsy.

A: Not sure about the load capacity. I used them to make a night stand for my daughter. They are very solid. Made of solid ash, the most common wood for wood baseball bats. Very similar to oak.
