                A:  The air conditioner uses the patented auto drain or self-evaporative technology which exhausts condensation automatically in most environments. Please note that if the humidity is very high, the auto drain function will still exhaust the majority of the moisture. The remaining moisture will be collected in the water tank at the base of the air conditioner and continue to self-evaporate until the tank becomes full and requires manual drainage.<br><br> If continuous drainage is necessary, a 5/8" x 1/2" stretchy silicon water hose will fit over the drain port of the air conditioner. <br><br> The air conditioner operates more efficiently without continuous drainage set up as the self-evaporative system recirculates the moisture collected in the tank over the internal condenser coils which help create cooler air. <br><br> If you have additional questions, our Customer Support Team is available Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 4:30 PM PST at 1-866-WHYNTER (1-866-949-6837) and at support@whynter.com.
