Answer This Question

A:  You knows BUT my recommendation is to STAY AWAY from this doorbell. I have nothing but issues and problems from their site not being available for hours, to the voice not working. Hooking this doorbell to another system like your own seemed compatible. SD Card storage? Any storage size SD Card that would fit in the doorbell would work.

A:  All functions of the doorbell will work except for the following functions: - Recordings will not be available as the cloud is the only option for viewing your videos. Only live viewing will be available. - You will get human detection notifications (as well as other events) but it will not tell you who is at the door as the face recognition is related to the cloud service. If you have additional questions about the doorbell you can always contact us at 844.947.3638.

A:  It needs a 16v 10A power source. I initially tested this out on a benchtop power supply, it did not draw very much amperage at 16v but I did not really take note of the draw when the IR LEDs were lit.

A:  Hello and Thank you for the question. It is a hard wire doorbell so you will need power. The power requirements from the manual are: Input Voltage / Current Wired AC 16~24V, 10VA. We include a power stabilizer to connect to your existing doorbell.

A:  The unit needs a doorbell transformer connected to it. You an either run wires from the existing transformer, or purchase another one.

A:  What do you mean independent? if you mean as an additional door bell "button" to you existing door bell button then yes but you will need to piggy-tail the door bell wires to allow 2 door bell buttons in the same location or run new independent wires to your chime. If you mean separate and independent from you existing door bell then you would effectively have to install another door chime to accommodate the d1 door because it has a camera and needs constant power. this d1 bell draws power from the chime unit.

A:  You would only need an app to access the information provided by the doorbell. This can be accessed on your smart phone or computer. Other than that, it's a pretty all in one system.

A:  Believe it or not, that's a trick question.... all you need are a transformer, normal doorbell wiring, a chime, and WiFi/internet. But.... to be on the safe side, check that your chime is compatible (many, many are, but a few - mine included - are not). Chimes are inexpensive and easy to replace, though. Next, your transformer.... after having some issues, I discovered my transformer was only supplying about 10v (rated 16v). This device needs a solid 16v to operate. Still the transformer is relatively cheap to replace as well. Finally, WiFi - download a wifi analyzer app to your smartphone, go out to where your doorbell is, close the door, verify you get a decent signal.

A:  Hello and thank you for the question. You will need to have internet at the home or place you are installing the doorbell. You also need to have wires running to a existing chime as this unit is not battery operated. It requires you current hard wires to power the unit.

A:  The only other equipment needed is a doorbell transformer and wiring to the location. It should work without a doorbell.

          Answer This Question

A:  Hello. Thank you for looking into our Wisenet D1 doorbell. Yes the kinks have been worked out. I own one and love it! I would say 99.99% of the time I have a strong signal and can stream HQ (high quality video). We have a 1 year warranty. Connectivity depends on the location of the router to the doorbell. Depending on the type of obstruction or interference, this will affect your connectivity. We recommend the use of a Wi-Fi extender in order to increase your network range. Thanks again.
