A: Hello Confused, thank you for your question. Some assembly is required. You will need to mount hardware to the support posts and gate frame. You will need to mount the drop rod assembly. The two panels should arrive assembled. Regards, your YardGard support team.

A: Yes, you can install the gate to the wooden posts.

A: Yes I check the Home Depot web site and found a part that will screw into a 4x4 wood post.
Lag Screw Hinge p/n 328506b should work for you.
Your home depot employees should be able to help with this. I would ask them, they may have several options for you.

A: While yes, your gate can be installed on a wooden post, we recommend using the appropriate chain link gate hardware and posts. If you are attaching the gate to a wooden post you would need to purchase a lag screw hinge and a frame hinge.

A: yes, depending on the size of your posts. J bolts (top and bottom) for this size gate should be at least 6 in in length with screw portion about 4in so that you have the standard 2in gap. Works well, just make sure that your posts are set with NO " lean", so they plumb . Best to set your 10ft pole, 3ft deep in packed drain rock and dirt. Avoid concrete if you can.
