Answer This Question

A:  Hi, Confused, we are very sorry you’re experiencing trouble assembling your curved shower rod. We recommend two people for installation. Step 1, shorten the 7/8” diameter tube assembly as much as possible by twisting opposite the direction indicated on the twist until fully tight sticker. Step 2, align the mounting bracket and attach it the 7/8” diameter tube using the mounting bracket screw and threaded insert. Step 3, align the mounting bracket and attach it to the 1” tube using the mounting bracket screw and threaded insert. Step 4, slide one end cap on the 7/8” assembly then align the dimples on the end of the end cap and snap them together. Follow the same instructions on the end of the 1” diameter tube. Step 5, align the flat side of the flat side of the plastic ring to the flat area in the 1” diameter tube and insert it. Step 6, slide the 7/8” tube into the 1" diameter tube. Step 7, measure the space where your rod assembly will be installed. Step 8, extend the rod to that measurement. Step 9, lock the link of the rod assembly using the rod set screw tightening it flush to the rod assembly. Step 10, position the rod assembly between the walls curving away from the tub with the rod set screw facing down. Secure the rod by twisting the end of the 7/8” rod tube in the direction on the twist tightening it until it’s fully snug. Make sure the rod is level and adjust as needed. Step 11, fully tighten the rod assembly by twisting the end of the 7/8” tube assembly. If you need additional assistance, please contact our customer service experts at 1-800-892-3986. A:  Hi IYSR, if your shower opening is between 50inches & 72inches, it will not be necessary to cut it. Once you assemble the rod, adjust it to the length you need, then lock it by inserting the rod set screw. Please feel free to reach out to the Customer Service department Monday - Friday from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM EST by calling 800-892-3986. Representatives are available to assist you with step-by-step installation instructions. Thank you!

Q:Is this like the standard straight tension rods that you twist and place on the shower wall in order to install it? I do not want to drill holes in my tile walls. Also, how far out is the curved portion? I see some reviewers state there isn't much of a curve to the rod.

A:  You twist and place, although it's a little trickier because of the curve. No drilling. I haven't measured the curve but I think it's pretty good.
