As a do-it-yourselfer, I was really excited to find the Arch Kit on the Home Depot web site. The kit came with great installation instructions and the product is a very robust, simple to install arch that helped transform a boring doorway into a modern archway. A quality product that is reasonably priced. A great buy!

These are a great help if you want to build arches in your home. They are made of solid materials and there are PDF's and videos online that you can watch to help you install. The only issue I have is with their instructions on how to bend the sheet rock. They just show the guy wetting the back a little and then it bends right up. No way! I let the water soak in and it still wouldn't bend. I researched it and the only way to bed sheet rock seems to be if you buy 1/4" flexible sheet rock. I had to make cuts in the back every inch to bend it up. I also noticed on the sheet rock video that the guy just put a line of screws down the middle of the sheet rock which I thought was not very smart, and next thing there was a cut in the movie and he had them on both sides. That was just amusing though.

The Universal Arch Kit was much easier to install than I expected. I am not a handyman by any means, but this product made me look like one! I checked with a local contractor to have an archway built for my hallway and wasn't in my budget, this product saved me half the cost and didn't take much time to install.

This preformed kit made putting arches in my house so easy!

They transformed my normal square opening to a beautiful rounded opening with ease.

Great idea but Product had an issue. The angle of the cut on each end was not sloped sufficiently and slightly crooked, requiring modification. I needed to adjust the angle of the ends slightly by running them through my table saw, to get them to sit correctly in the corners of the door opening.

Not a true 90 degree angle, more like 75 degrees. Close enough for drywall but, does create minor issues that take extra time to mitigate. Other than that, it’ll work !

These arches appeared easy from the video and instructions but were not easy for us at all. Most of the reviews state they're easy too so I am not sure why we had so many issues with these but we did. Our doorway walls were not level which created problems, the sheetrock was a layer of 1/2" with a layer of 1/4" over top so that only added to more issues and after the spackle and sanding fine cracks appeared everywhere. We are now stuck with a nightmare I wish we never started. Think twice before attempting this and make sure you are dealing with a normal wall first or you will run into many problems like we did. Its pretty and unique looking as long as you dont get too close!!

We ordered two kits and they didn’t seem to be at such a 90 degree angle as pictures or videos I had watched of other people using the kit, but they were able to drill into place correctly, just took a little more muscle than expected. Worked great though, and a much simpler solution for arches than making your own.

east to install. the drywall guys will complain a bit, but it will work!

Simple easy way to add an arch

Very simple design for arches.

My contractor was very impressed with this item. When I decided I wanted arches AFTER he had already framed openings, I did some research and found this product. Bought it and showed to my contractor. He installed them with no problems.
