Unfortunately I believe Home Depot looses a lot money with the wood that is bent, with knots, and barely can be used unled you plan to do a boat

These 2x3's and 2x4's are very poor quality. You have to root through 15 to 20 pieces before you find 1 good one . 75% of them are live egde . Hardly any of them are finished on all four sides .

Very strong wood, had to repair a fence. I will always get this item.

These boards were mostly free from defects with very few knots, however for my needs I had to sort thru 20-25 boards to get 3 nearly straight ones.
