This thing didn't last at all. Burned in it one time. Next thing I know a few days later it shattered in pieces

Thought clay might be great because it wouldn't rust. I built a small fire on top of the grate with only two small logs, and about an hour later the entire bottom just fell out. No rapid temperature changes, drops or rough handling, excessively hot fire, just a normal small fire. Would not recommend.

No regrets! Just burn a simple Duraflame log and you’ll be toasty for hours. Nice size, not too big. Love it!

Caused a fire on my deck hours after putting it out. Fire department said it was the fire pit even with having a fire resistant pad underneath. This clay pot also broke after one use along with significant damage to deck. Think twice of buying this product. Would be best to use this clay fire pit as a planter than a fire pit, could have burnt the whole deck down and move onto the house if not been caught the next morning. Now I have a whole in my deck 5 ft x 9 ft and need to replace support beams and boards.

This pit is just a piece of yard art. It is a piece of junk if you use it as a fire pit. I had it for just a month and built 6 fires in it. I followed the instructions about starting with a small fire, one log, to warm it up for 20 minutes before adding more logs. I put no more than 3 logs at a time. Well, the bowl cracked down one side and across the bottom. These people are not preparing the clay correctly. I had a clay pot a couple of decades ago that I built bond fires in and it lasted for years. Thank you Home Depot for the refund. I bought a cast iron pit that I'm sure will last me a few years. Stay away from this product.

Used 3 times and it crumbled when I moved the wood. Waste of money

No assembly required very sturdy. Heavy! Was able to unboxed and use immediately. Because it does not have a hole at the bottom I could put it on top of fire resistant tiles on my deck

i got this clay pit little more than 7 days ago. i went to relocate the pot. as soon as i went to pick it up i noticed cracks. decided to ignore it . went to move it to the location and half of the pit fell off. its unusable now. hoping to get a replacement or some kind of upgrade i would like something that last longer than 4 uses :/

It is very poor quality I never had a chance to put a fire in it and it broke it cracked no idea how So I went back to get a different one and it also was broke

I really enjoyed the firepit up to the point where it cracked in 3 places and split apart. Purchased in July 2020, split apart by August 2021. While intact, the fire pit was a great feature of our back yard patio that was used once or twice a week when in season. It lasted one mid-west winter, covered until the following spring, upon which we noticed the first crack when uncovered. More cracks started with use and eventually grew until the clay pit split apart in August 2021. If you burn while the metal mesh lid is on, you'll find the metal top quickly rusts. I cleaned it and resprayed it with high heat black spray paint, which solved that issue. I loved this fire pit while new, but cannot recommend after 1 year of use given how quickly it cracked and eventually split apart.

This fire pit is very nice because it will not rust. But it is clay, not concrete. Thus it is more delicate. Unwrap it at the store to check for cracked edges. Get a waterproof cover so it does not get wet inside. I recommend one from porch shield. Start with small fires to dry it out because the clay is sensitive to cracking if there is moisture in it. With proper care it is a great pit.

I am extremely happy with this purchase. Very well-made, heavy duty and pleasing to the eye. It is the perfect size and it looks like it’s Built to last. I would definitely recommend purchasing if they are still in stock.

Already have a small chip on top. Felt soft not like hard fired clay.
