Excellent product! Easy installation. I installed it on my back door. And, just now ordered another one for my front door. I would say it is worth every penny.

I love it! We didn't have a screen door on our main entryway because the awkward placement of the decking wouldn't easily allow for the swing of it. I bought this and can't believe I waited so long. It was easy to install and creates a seamless view of outside. I'm purchasing another for our front door because it won't obstruct the door in any way (like an actual screen door would) but will allow us to have it open and leave us bug free. I highly recommend.

I received the door a couple of weeks ago and couldn't be happier with it. My landlord did not want me installing a screen door that swung open so this was the perfect door for me. Even though the instructions were sort of hard to understand, I was able to install it myself by viewing a couple of YouTube videos. It opens and closes so easily. The only thing I wish the door had was a locking mechanism but other than that, I love it!

Oh for so long I wanted a screen door but I was told because my door front out swings I couldn't get one. I was browsing on the Home Depot site and out of the blue I came upon this screen door and couldn't get it ordered quick enough. It was here in a couple days and in 1 hour my son had it installed and I'm loving it. It did take a little longer to install because you do have to make a few adjustments to fit on the inside but nothing major. The funny thing is my little dog keeps running into it but is learning quickly there's a new kind of door that has to be opened. Sitting here this morning with only my screen door and I actually hear the birds chirping and an occasional dog barking. Loveit!!

We bought this door from Home Depot about a year ago, give or take, and loved it last summer. After one winter (without using the screen - we don't live here; this is our summer house), the tension is a mess and the mesh slides out at the top every single time you try to roll it back into the cartridge. You have to gently hand roll it, which is ridiculous and makes it unusable when we have guests. We are not handy enough to take it all down and mess with the tension, so it's of no use to us this summer. I don't recommend it at all.

This is my second retractable screen door install. The other was a bit cheaper, but no where near the quality of this unit. The packaging was great! The box came pretty beat-up, but all of the screen door pieces were in perfect shape. After laying out the frame, it took me under 30 minutes to install, all by my-own-self. It is sturdy, the lock is better than the other unit and the stripes across the screen are a nice safety touch. The frame parts are all very nicely coated and the entire door looks like a quality product. I'll purchase a few more, but will wait until they go on sale ($149) again. If a swing-out screen door will not work for you, I highly recommend this product.

I have been using this screen since about mid-April, and it has been a great purchase. We have a full-view glass back door that we didn't want to block with a storm door and we stumbled upon this retractable screen as an option. We are not upset at all by the purchase. We compared this model to another big name brand that is popular among screen and storm doors, but the design of this one seemed better suited for long-term reliability. Installation took about 20-30 minutes. The bottom plastic pieces were easy to trim to fill in the gaps and create a look on the threshold that no one has even noticed, and the screen is easy enough for my 4 yr old and 2 year old to use. The only thing I would add to this design is some sort of compressible foam, or small brush seal along the top and bottom of the frame to help seal up gaps against the house. I will be filling those myself to close off a less than 1/8" gap at points between the screen frame and my house. Other than that, I have no complaints or changes I would make. The biggest issue for me shopping the retractable screens was the latch mechanism. The other model we looked at in Home Depot, by a different manufacturer, had a springy latch piece mounted against the frame that moved to latch as you closed the screen. It's an odd design, and we had trouble with that screen when using it in the store; we couldn't get it to reliably latch and open without some extra force and finagling. The latch also looked like a piece that would break in the future and create issues, and would be difficult to replace. This ODL screen has a hard plastic latch that screws into the frame and is adjustable up or down, or to flip depending on your door orientation. The only moving part of the latch is the spring loaded latch handle mounted on the retractable screen. This leaves less to stress and potentially break, and the piece is easy enough to replace if something were to ever affect it. Overall, it's a slightly simpler, more thought out design. We have been using this screen regularly this Spring and Summer and are very happy to have fewer bugs flying in and out while we enjoy the summer breeze and heat. This is a great alternative to a screen door, especially where you already have a full-view glass door.

A neighbor has one of these and recommended it and now I have one and I recommend it! This sliding screen door takes up almost no room and it functions wonderfully. It is difficult for one person to put together, so get a helper to hold the lightweight pieces while you assemble it. It is easy to use once installed and the screen has differently colored strands in strategic places to tell you when it is closed so you don't walk into it.

Love this roll away screen door, beats the old style swing doors by a mile. No more trying to get around the screen to unlock and open your door. A simple lift on the release lever and the screen rolls up to the side out of the way. It has a simple lock that assures the screen stays closed. Installation was very straightforward pretty simple actually taking only about half an hour or so to complete. Looks good, fits well and isn’t in the way. I’ll be changing all my screen doors for these!

We just installed our ODL Brisa White Standard Retractable Screen Door and we love it. We installed it on the inside of the house as our door swings out. The screen door comes ready to install on the outside, but there are instructions for converting it to an inside installation. They were very easy to follow. Even with the conversion and stopping to do some vacuuming under the door plate it only took about 40 minutes. Our only negative is the threshold plate extenders that are included in the kit are fairly flimsy and would not withstand any weight if someone were to step on them. The screen door automatically retracts if not held or locked in place. Great way to keep half open screen doors from happening when people exit hastily. The two sets of visual lines near the top and bottom of the screen that help prevent someone from accidentally walking through it are easy to see, but not obtrusive. You will see in the attached video how easy it is to open and close. It locks automatically and is super easy to unlock. There is also a safety latch to keep it from being opened accidentally or from the outside. Even though we had to install the screen door on the inside of the house the frame is nice enough that it really does not look bad at all. Coincidentally we have the ODL enclosed add on blinds and it has no problem clearing the raised frame. As an added bonus it is filtering the sun and helping to keep it cooler in the house. We are excited to have the added feature as we approach the outdoor season.

Super easy install. Total took about a 1/2 hour and about 10 minutes was pulling it out of the box and grabbing a drill. The packaging was nice and everything you need is included. You just need to put the top and bottom rails into the sides and screw it up. The exterior trim is nice and it looks as though it belongs with the door. I actually can't believe how easy it went up. The retractable side doesn't take up much space and it gives you full view out the door. I think I'm going to pick up another one for our front door.

I was very pleased with this retractable screen door. It came well packaged and in excellent condition. The instructions required a careful review prior to putting it together, but once I understood the concept, it was a snap. It took me about 30 minutes to install after I read the directions. The unit itself seems very sturdy and it fit well into my door opening. An extra set of hands might be beneficial to put it all together, but I was able to do it by myself. The screen retracts fully and the locking mechanism, when you extend the screen, holds it securely. My concern is that one of the dogs will run through it, so that will require keeping an eye out when it is closed and the dogs are out. There are several dark bands that run through the screen to aid in visibility to keep a person from walking through it when closed. There is some give, but I don't want to try it. The pictures below show the screen door fully open and fully closed. Overall, very pleased with the screen door.

This Retractable lifetime warranty aluminum screen door will be the last and only screen door you will use. took me just 25 minutes to install start to finish . the design is so simple to fit any opening from a 32 inch to 36 inch door opening. I don't need to remove any wood door trim casing . only tool I used was my #2 Phillips bit screw adapter and my cordless drill to mount the 4 supplied mounting screws . a regular #2 Phillips screw driver to switch the door handle so the lock was on the right side, i like the mild strips in the screed so you don't walk though it by accident. the screen pulls across and retracts firm and non tippy thanks to the well design track guides system !

Depending on your door swing...definitely not recommended for entry door that swings outward.

works and looks fine . . . hire an installer!
Its a nice practical retractable screen door with terrible, vague instructions and overpriced. When you buy a 36” door would you expect a 36” lower track? Surprise, it’s 23”. Manufacturer really skimped on it. They give you 2 little slide-on grey rubbery thingys that are supposed to make up for the deficit. Shame on you Larson!

The door itself was very well-made solid construction with attention to detail. However, the sizing charts were misleading. The chart said 32 to 36 wide and 96 to 97 tall. While the width is adjustable, the height is not. The height actually measures almost 97 5/8”. As a result, it would not fit my entry door without substantial modification to the cinderblock opening.

          Worst Screen doors ever
I bought two of these screen doors. I installed them on the appropriate doors leading to my outside deck. Right from the start they did not open smoothly and closing them was a complete pain. I think it has something to do with the height of the doors..8'. After struggling with them for two years I finally took them down and replaced them with a "walk through" screen which works a lot better. I tried cleaning these doors numerous times thinking that maybe there were filled with dirt/dust. But they never worked well. I was hugely disappointed. And even more disappointed that there was only a 90 return window. Bummer

Good product once installed and adjusted. Initially the slider stuck in the top track. The instructions did not indicate how to adjuct the slider upon sticking which I was able to determine by loosing the screws on top of the frame.

The short bristles on the frame were bent over and all over the place. I did call customer service and the agent was very helpful. Unfortunately they shipped out a new frame and the bristles were missing from that frame (I did send a text and a picture). Third one now on the way.
