Had to work 15-20 minutes a few days ago to pick through the pile to find just 4 decent pieces of 4x4x8 PT because the pile only including pieces already rejected by other shoppers due to splits, cracks, warping, excess knot holes etc. Inferior/Rejected lumber should be routinely be removed and put on sale and not just restacked in hopes the next customer won't notice or care. Note: The 4x4x6 lumber referenced in this email from a few days earlier was all fine.

Several weren’t straight made it difficult to level

I accidentally knocked over our rural style mailbox and needed to replace the broken post. This item was perfect for that purpose: nice and straight, pressure treated for ground contact and just the right length so I had no cut-off or waste. It looked like any of the posts in the bin would have worked well-they all looked that good.

The wood is very solid. I always go to the store to pick out the pieces so that I can make sure that I get wood with a minimum of knots and straight pieces - not warped. I used it to line my driveway to keep the blacktop from breaking off at the edges.
