The unit lasted 1 day and the digital readout stopped.

These thermostats are working very well. I can set it to the temperature that I want the room to be & it is true to the setting.

Working well with our electric baseboard heaters, why didn’t we do this years ago. We no longer have to adjust, adjust and adjust old thermostats. The new digital thermostats keep a nice even temperature in the whole house.

Very easy to install and use. It is one of the few thermostats in stock at HD with a two-wire configuration able to control a baseboard heater. You need to know if you need a 2, 3, or 4 wire configuration and what you are controlling before buying a thermostat: they are not all the same. Having a digital programmable 2 wire unit for baseboard heat is unusual, but very handy.

I had 4 baseboards and 3 of these thermostats professionally installed. The first one didn't work at all so my crew had to leave and get another one. They work, but they don't read the room temperature correctly. I set it at 68 degrees. Waited, this thermostat read that the room was 68 degrees when it was actually 62 degrees so the heat stopped thinking it was 68 and I had to manually override it and this happened with all 3. The installer said he here's this a lot from this thermostat😪

Replaced a 10 year old thermostat. Honeywell my go to for thermostats.

I wasn't expecting variable heat control. It was easy to install. I have 3 now and may add 3 more. My house was built in the 70's with electric baseboard heat. This thermostat seems to be the only functional digital thermostat available. The lesser unprogrammable thermostat from Honeywell failed in 3 days.

Very difficult to install. It has 4 wires instead of the usual 2. Had to hire an electrician.

I had high hopes for this thermostat when I bought it due to the Honeywell brand name. The unit worked until as expected until it approached the set point, at which time is started to toggle on and off endlessly. When I began investigating I found the control unit very hot to the touch and decided to remove it immediately. I found a similar review here so thought I would let customers this unit likely has a design flaw in the control loop firmware.

This is the second room with electric baseboard heat for which I had purchased this exact Honeywell Thermostat. This time, however, the unit “died” the very next morning, with no readings being displayed at all. Despite the major nuisance of disassembly and returning to Home Depot for an exchange, the Staff at the store were excellent. The replacement has functioned flawlessly, which is why I like it so much: the processes of Installation and Settings (even four a novice like me) are pretty straightforward. I appreciate how simple it is to change Settings, the simplicity of viewing the current Room Temperature at-a-glance, that it is back-lit for visibility, and that the unit is fairly attractive on the wall.

Ease to install. Works great

The first one I bought was a dud. It stopped working within 3 hours. Returned it to Home Depot and the new one has worked just fine for about a month.

Perfect for my needs. Allows me to programming which reflects movements through the houses. Honeywell could do better with instructions in packaging snd online though.

The design is generally fine, but it turns on and off constantly (every few seconds) to maintain temperature, and that's not acceptable. It would drive me crazy and probably damage my heaters if I let it go on. Returning it to the store the next day after installing.

With the rising costs of keeping your home, warm for the winter, it was time to convert our old thermostats, well over 50 years old to more efficient thermostats. These are awesome. I love that I can go between a schedule or override to manual.

Installed easy and works great

Looks much nicer than the 80s dial style control we used to have. Easy to program. Super easy to use. Love the large numbers. Good for older eyes.

Just what I was looking for to use with my baseboard electric heat. Hoping to see a good difference this year. Many on the market may not be for plain electric, so glad to find something that seems to work very well so far. Winter will tell!

I now know the exact temp in each room

Nice replacement for an old almond “dial” thermostat, allowing me to vary the heat (provided by in-wall heaters) based on whether we’re likely to be using the room.

Failed the first day.

I initially bought one and it did not display, had closed circuit after I wired it. Went back for a refund and got a replacement. The replacement had open circuit when I checked so I installed it. Bought two more. Checked those 2 for continuity before left the parking lot. Both were open circuit so I went home to install these two. Failure rate of about 25%. Bring a volt / ohm meter and check continuity after purchase before leaving the parking lot.

Quit working with in 2 days.

We needed stats in three rooms. Bought three of these. 1 failed. Bought a replacement and THAT failed within 45 minutes. Not very reliable!

Programming turned into a test of fails, until I remember we do not ‘leave or return’ during the day-retired. So reprogram to not use that set. Out come was great, which turned into much better after ‘advanced setting’ were used and correct program again. The house heat is closer to the degrees in all rooms, the old thermostats were adjusted all day long to try to steady the rooms. So much better than before.

This thermostat is the best. It keeps the room exactly the temperature it is set for. So far so good.

The unit I selected was installed but never worked. My electrician selected and installed a different model, which is working.

Simple install and crazy easy to program. Best option I’ve used for baseboard heat. Also display is easy to see and lit up.
