Used it to make stairs.

Sizes did not match other batch that was purchased a before. I purchased these for a retaining wall and needed extra ones because I did not buy enough the first time. So I went back to get more but the quality of the 6x6 where so bad that I had to go to another store to get more. The second store had them but the edges were damaged and they were smaller that the ones I purchased originally. Not happy with the over all experience.Mark Dang

These were exactly what we needed for new garden stairs. If I had one complaint, it would be that they vary greatly on the dimensions. I measured all of them and they range from 5 1/2" wide to 6 1/4".

All of the 6x6 timbers in the rack were bowed or had huge knots! I picked the ones that were bowed in one plane (not twisted). If I had time I would have gone elsewhere for the timbers.

It was twisted , with many blemishes and I only bought it because I needed it right away . Looked around for other options but had to take this.. my fence .. my poor fence .

I found 5hem to be standard in quality

Had to sort through several different deliveries to find pieces that weren't broken, chipped, curved or had funny angles cut in to the ends.

Used these for gate posts. Got three, two of which were useable for this purpose; the third was warped and unsuitable. Pick the straight ones! Pressure treated wood worked well for all aspects of this job.

Excellent quality timber. $278. Is too high to pay to deliver 6 pieces only 20 min. away.

Must have given me the worst post in the lot

As nice as the people are at Home Depot, the lumber that was delivered was very bad quality. Many were twisted or bent and unusable. Some were also cracked and had to be splinted. Had to take back quite a few pieces to replace them. Pick your own and you should be fine. I like Home Depot but was underwhelmed with lumber delivery.

purchased 2 of these for a fence gate and 1 is great no issues. the other rotted out within 3 years. overall, they are OK.

The timbers worked really well for a small retaining wall. Straight and solid pieces, and easy to work with. I am considering using these for a raised bed garden but am concerned about the preservative leaching into the garden soil. Anybody have thoughts on this? The description refers to California Prop 65, which is making me rethink using these for a garden barrier.

great post for the price. this is a solid piece of timber.

The test for these timbers will be 10-15 years from now. But for the most part they were straight and look good.
