Washed away after first hard rain. Had it pinned down about every 4ft. Straw pulled away from nylon string. Big waste of money.

I purchased and used four rolls to as a seed blanket. Where there was a light straw covering, it worked fine and a grass seed germinated and groove. However each mat had about 10-20% of the area without any straw or with less than a light straw covering.

Thin straw component and not as effective as the fiber we bought last year. Not the best product value.

This material was easy to install (a lot more than plain straw) and seems to cover very well. Home Depot also seems to have the best pricing for this matting.

My yard has a slope and I was going through huge erosion problems. Needed to stop the washout to get my grass to grow. Bought $400+ worth of this stuff. Spent hours putting it down and driving the METAL stakes in the ground. First heavy rain that came washed most of the straw into clumps that the grass could not get through. Also washed the seeds into clumps. Polypropolene netting is a light plastic but you cannot rake through it to replant seeds in bare spots. Worst of all, if you drive anything over it LIKE A LAWNMOWER it wraps around the tire and blade axels. I'm worried about damage to tires when those metal stakes used to "secure" the mat start working their way to the surface. Yes, they do I've already had to pull some out. The only use I see for this product is in an area that will not be mowed for the 1 year it takes that polypropolene to disintegrate (if that really happens).

So thin. Fell apart while unrolling it. Poor quality. Would not ever buy again.

The product was of poor quality and virtually impossible to unroll. To make it worse, it had gotten wet on the ends and this cause to to stick together even more.

Product works pretty good with helping with the erosion I was trying to stop. Still had some problems, but it did help contain it. I was able to roll it out myself, fairly easily. Would be a little easier if you have someone to help when rolling it out. Could have had more straw covering on it.

Don’t know, my product never got to me.

We used this to overlay a seeded area of bare dirt (rye grass) on a rather steep hillside. It was relatively easy to roll out across the hillside and to cut into sections. Looks great after installation. We have had rain since, and the dirt underneath the mat seems to be holding in place.

Exactly what I was expecting. Good quality. Easy to install.

was a little difficult to start unrolling but once it started it was easy to work with and covered a lot of space.

It's a roll of hay for a few dollars don't overthink it. Lot's of coverage area in one roll for home use.
