These skids will probably outlast the snow blower itself. Very easy to install with original machine's bolts. These skids easily glide over the raised portions of the pavement and broken sections.

I purchased heavy duty skid shoes for my Craftsman Snow Thrower attachment. These shoes last 3 times longer than the original shoes and are about the same price. Great product.

This is a great product to improve the operation of your snow blower. Installed them on a Yard Machine 24" and the machine operates 100% smoother. Not only do they work well on my slightly irregular sidewalk; but they work well on the gravel drive and grass. It is like mounting a pair of skis on the unit. They protect the housing when you bump an object by slightly protruding forward. You can use the existing bolts and install in less than five minutes with a ratchet and 13mm socket. These cost just a few dollars more than the stock skids; however I predict they will last ten times longer. These skids are great; a foot long and a quarter inch thick. Try these out on your blower; if you don't like them return to HD for a refund. I guarantee you will love them too.

I expect these will far outlast the original skids on my snowblower. They are much heavier gauge metal and longer so I don't catch on the pavement cracks as much. As a bonus, they didn't cost any more than the OEM parts.

Put it on a 5hp 22" craftsman. Works as advertised. Our driveway doesn't have large cracks but has a curb by the street. Goes up and down curb with no problems. Does make the operation much easier and smoother. Have only used it once but so far it's great.

My drive way is totally uneven due to the hilly terrain in Pittsburgh. The original one literally chipped off the uneven surfaces and they worn out bad after few uses. Was searching online and bought these from Home Depot since they are free store shipping and easy to return. Installed and used the snow blower today. These are really gliding on the uneven surface. Loved them so much. I am hoping these will survive for sometime as installing the shoe is a painful job. The description did not mention that its a single piece and not a pair. I have to make two orders.

A must have for long gravel driveways like mine. Very well made and a perfect fit. It also keeps the blower from scraping up the asphalt and offers protection to the bottom leading side edges of the blower housing. Get these, you won't be sorry.

These skids are made to last. If these skids don't do the job nothing else will.

Just purchased a Troy- Bilt 26 the shoes that came with it all I did was fight with them had to rise and lower could not find that perfect fit. Found the site for these HD skid shoes and once on and adjusted for the correct height which was 2 times. I gotta tell there great. Highly recommend

After three years of considerable jamming,damaging and replacing of factory spec skids, I ordered a pair of these heavy duty, redesigned snow blower skids and I've been ivery mpressed. We have had a great deal of snow this winter in the Chicagoland area this winter. These new skids have made my snow blowing much easier. These skids glide over raised seams and jarring and jamming have been eliminated. There appears to be minimal wear on the skids to date which suggests better quality steel is used in manufacturing. I strongly recommend these as a replacement to factory installed skids on any snow blower.

These are excellent replacement skid shoes, better than the original equipment by far!! They are like snowmobile ski's, so much bigger than the original and way more heavy duty. I should have replaced them sooner. Great Product!!! Well worth the money!!!

I have a 200+ foot gravel driveway. Additionally, the large turn around area in front of the garage is also gravel. Every Spring I waste a lot of time and energy raking gravel out of the yards back onto the driveway. My stock skids would dig into the gravel and invariable throw some gravel with the snow. These skids prevent digging in and handle uneven areas with ease. They are extremely well made and well designed. This company, ARMORSKIDS, also manufactures an even larger style skid, 5 inches high, for even more height adjustment options. I own an old 26 inch MTD and my only regret is I didn't find out about these skids 15 years ago, assuming they were available then. Great product. Great design. Had some delivery issues and the owner of the company was extremely accomodating.

Skids easily glide over not only the cracks in sidewalk, but also go over my gravel driveway with ease.

Fit like a glove on my snow blower. Had trouble with the factory plastic skids on my gravel driveway. These skidded across the gravel without digging into the gravel plus no more throwing rocks.

Put these on my Craftsman 24" 2-stage snow blower #88173 as the factory original skids didn't keep the auger out of the gravel part of my drive (1/2 gravel, 1/2 concrete) even at their highest setting resulting in me throwing shrapnel rock all over. These custom skids were a perfect fit for my machine and worked beautifully! Straightforward installation: unbolt the OEM skids, re-use the same bolts, bolt the Armorskids on in their place. Since installing, I rarely pick up rock unless it is suspended in the snowbank left by the passing snowplow at the foot of the drive. OEM skids may be fine over pea gravel, but mine is 3/4-1 1/2"stones and all the OEM skids did was dig/sink into the gravel resulting in gravel being thrown by the blower. The Amorskids have much better ability to float over the gravel. Fantastic product!!!

I just purchased a set for my new snow blower , after having them on my old snow blower. I sold the old one with the shoes on it , since the slot size is different than my new one . These things are awesome , they don't wear out , the days of slamming into uneven concrete are over . Once you own a set , you'll never go back to the OEM style .

These skids are extremely heavy duty. I have a brandnew snowblower, and the stock skids did NOTHING in our gravel driveway, on my first usage with it, i did nothing but blast my driveway into my neighbors yard. After purchasing and installing (very simple process) these skids, i don't think i've thrown one rock in my driveway, and the snow removal is extremely easy. They might be expensive since you need to buy two of them, but they will never wear out and are worth every penny.

Wow is all I can say. Holly Molly these are very good skids. They are 10 times better than the stock Ariens. They are built to last, and by the way, they are the same price as the Ariens by the time you buy two and pay shipping.

Easy installation, perfect fit. I like how these skids extend to the front edge of the auger housing. Have an Ariens ST1332DLE that had commercial, thick skids, but they are half the length of the armor skids. There is an abrupt drop where my driveway meets the road and several larger cracks that would always cause the blower to bottom out and stop suddenly. No more. The extra length of these skids allow for a very smooth transition and I know these skids will extend the life of the machine. Highly recommend.

Purchased these for my new SnoTek 24in. Fits perfectly, and I am amazed at how much easier it is to use the snowthrower. Glides over the gravel driveway, no catching at all. Makes turning a lot easier as well. Solid construction. Very happy with these!

I found these to be a very welcome improvement over the standard MTD skid shoes. They're a little more money than buying replacement MTD standard skids, but it's way easier to run the machine over any kind of irregularity with these oversized shoes. I don't know about you, but I find the worst part of snowblowing to be when the machine abruptly stops by catching the scraping edge on sidewalk crack line or a driveway transition, etc. These shoes extend out farther than the original ones, and ride over transitions much better.

Perfect fit for my MTD Yard-Man snowblower. Much better than the original skids. Arrived promptly.

Got them today and installed anticipating big storm tomorrow. I did a dry-run on the sidewalk where sections are uneven. They worked 100 times better than the OEM Cub Cadet skid shoes, which would always bring my blower to an abrupt, bone jarring stop. In adition to resolving the uneven pavement issues, build quality is top notch. They are heavy duty. From what I have seen, I expect them to work flawlessly and for a very, very long time. I don't like snow blowing, but now I am actually looking forward to tomorrow's storm! Oh, and being American made is also a big plus for me.

I was ready to purchase stock skids until ckecking out the armorskids decided to take a chance on them and very happy i did they were easy to install exact fit. I have to clear a path to my wood pile and my snow thrower did not dig up my grass at all. Thank You armorskids and one other selling point made in the USA.

Had the poly skids on my new cub cadet snow blower. Concrete driveway ate them up the first time I used it. Purchased armor skids, Bolted right up.worked great on the next snowfall.
